ProShow teams with On the Move
Oakland, California — June 22, 2006 — ProShow, the national event staffing management company, has teamed with its San Francisco staffing partner, On the Move, to serve the events management and staffing market in San Diego. The two companies have worked together for six years in the San Francisco market, delivering superior quality and repeatable results to clients such as the American Academy of Periodontology, Semicon and MacWorld. On the Move recruits and qualifies event staff according to ProShow’s established template, while ProShow provides on-site staff management during the event.
Both companies view the San Diego market as a significant opportunity. “San Diego hosts 57 meetings or conventions every year,” said Lee Nold-Lewis, president of ProShow. “We know from talking to our clients that no one in that market is offering the level of quality that we do in terms of trained, experienced staffers and in client service. The whole reason we’re looking at the San Diego market is that clients who used us in San Francisco want the same experience in San Diego.”
Vaneese Johnson, president of On the Move, concurs. “We work together like we’re part of the same company,” she said. “We both focus unrelentingly on making every person there feel like it’s the best event they ever attended.”
ProShow and On the Move’s first San Diego show will be the 92nd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology, to be held September 16–19, 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center. The AAP expects more than 6,000 attendees and exhibitors, and the ProShow/On the Move team will recruit, train, place and manage about 65–70 event staffers. Their second event in San Diego will be October 4–8, at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, where the team will recruit and manage 35–40 staffers.
